stone trod to rosedale
north york moors
This line of weathered and partly overgrown rocks is an ancient stone "trod" set up as a trade route across on the North York Moors. This particular one runs between Fryupdale and Rosedale.
I chose a part-toned treatment for this image which removes some of the distraction from composition that full colour can sometimes bring, but that keeps the contrast between the grey stones and surrounding plants which would be lost in a pure black and white shot.
